OUR TEAM

The people behind
Visual Snow Europe

Visual Snow Europe Foundation is driven by people who share one goal: improving recognition, understanding and knowledge of Visual Snow Syndrome across Europe.

Some of us know VSS from personal experience, while others contribute their professional knowledge, expertise or time. What brings us together is the belief that people living with Visual Snow Syndrome deserve to be heard, taken seriously and supported by reliable information and better scientific understanding.

Founder & Chair
Lack of recognition should never become a patient’s burden.

Drawing on her own experience of living with Visual Snow Syndrome, Maartje founded Visual Snow Europe to help turn a lack of recognition and understanding into meaningful change. She works to strengthen the patient voice, increase awareness and build meaningful connections between people living with VSS, healthcare professionals and researchers across Europe.

More than a team

Visual Snow Europe is also supported by volunteers, researchers, healthcare professionals, partner organisations and, above all, people living with VSS who share their experiences and help us understand where change is needed most.
