Sept. 02, 2026: Living with Visual Snow Syndrome can be difficult to explain to others. Especially when the condition is still unfamiliar to many. By sharing personal experiences and stories in the media, we aim to make VSS more visible and better understood. Discover recent interviews and features about living with VSS and the work of Visual Snow Europe Foundation. Despite growing scientific knowledge about Visual Snow Syndrome, public awareness remains limited. Many people have never heard of VSS, misconceptions and misinformation are still widespread, and knowledge of the condition among healthcare professionals can vary considerably. For those living with VSS, this can make an already complex neurological condition even more difficult to navigate.
For Visual Snow Europe Foundation, this is why media attention matters. It is not about publicity for its own sake. It is about ensuring that a neurological condition which is still too often misunderstood, underestimated or simply unknown is taken seriously.
Every well-informed article, interview and personal story can contribute to that change. More people recognising the name is only the beginning. The real goal is greater understanding among the public, within healthcare and ultimately in the research and care available to people living with VSS.
